We are seeking a Senior Cloud & ML Infrastructure Engineer to lead the architecture and optimization of complex, cloud-based ML systems. This role is ideal for experienced engineers passionate about reliability, automation, and scalable design across AWS. You’ll play a key role in building production-ready pipelines and infrastructure that support real-time and batch ML use cases across a variety of domains, including robotics and analytics.

With a mission centered on sustainability and efficiency, their engineering team, comprising talent from top-tier hardware companies and research labs, focuses on solving real-world challenges in motion, mechanics, and intelligent automation. Among their breakthroughs is a robotic system designed to streamline high-volume kitchen prep work, already deployed at scale across major U.S. food brands.

• Architect and manage end-to-end ML infrastructure using AWS services such as SageMaker, Step Functions, Lambda, and ECR.
• Design and deploy highly available, multi-region AWS solutions for real-time inference and batch processing.
• Develop reusable infrastructure-as-code (IaC) templates and blueprints using AWS CDK.
• Set up CI/CD workflows for ML model packaging, validation, and drift monitoring.
• Implement robust security practices across cloud infrastructure, including IAM configuration and encryption protocols.
• Monitor, optimize, and manage compute and storage resources to control cost and performance.
• Collaborate on integrating ML systems with data lakes and analytics platforms.
• Serve as a technical advisor and mentor to promote AWS adoption and DevOps maturity across teams.

• Well-Rounded AWS Expertise: Comfort across a broad range of AWS services (EKS, VPC, ECR, ALB/NLB, EC2, Autoscaling Groups, API Gateway, etc.), with the ability to reason about tradeoffs around scalability, security, and cost.
• Cost Awareness: Proven ability to factor cost optimization into architecture and infrastructure decisions.
• Strong Infrastructure as Code: Hands-on experience with Terraform and ideally AWS CDK, with IaC as the default approach.
• Programming Ability: Actively coding in at least one modern programming language (Python, Go, or TypeScript) and proficient in scripting languages like Bash. Demonstrated ability to reason clearly about code.
• Problem-Solving Mindset: Ability to provide practical, secure, and cost-effective solutions for scaling, securing endpoints, and managing infrastructure.
• Clear Communication: Strong ability to explain complex technical concepts in a clear and conversational way.
• Leadership (Bonus): Experience leading teams or guiding technical initiatives, showing both technical ownership and people leadership capabilities.

• Experience in robotics infrastructure including AWS IoT Core, Greengrass, or over-the-air (OTA) deployment.
• Exposure to telemetry and diagnostics for physical robot fleets.
• Familiarity with robotic software rollout strategies across multi-stage production environments.
• Frontend development experience for dashboards or API visualization tools.
• Understanding of real-time streaming, MQTT messaging, or edge inference pipelines.
• Hands-on work with ROS 2 (Robot Operating System), including launch files and sensor data pipelines on embedded Linux systems.
