Role Overview

The Junior HR Business Partner (Jr. HRBP) supports the HR/People Team in delivering day-to-day HR operations and business partnering for our developers assigned to client accounts. This role assists in maintaining strong working relationships between employees, client teams, and internal stakeholders.


The Jr. HRBP will work closely with the Senior HR Manager, UK based Client Services Managers (CSMs), and Talent Teams to ensure smooth onboarding, engagement follow-through, issue escalation, documentation, and basic people analytics. While this is a junior role, it requires curiosity, discipline, and the ability to understand how HR supports both the employee experience and the commercial/client side of our business model.

Key Responsibilities

Business Partnering Support

  • Assist the Senior HR Manager in supporting client-assigned developer groups.
  • Help interpret client expectations and reflect them in HR actions (e.g., engagement follow-up, performance documentation).
  • Escalate risks early (performance, attendance, dissatisfaction, client feedback).
  • Coordinate with CSMs to ensure developers maintain alignment with client expectations and Cloud Employee culture.

Employee Engagement & Relationship Management

  • Conduct regular well-being check-ins with developers; document insights and escalate concerns.
  • Support small engagement initiatives or pulse checks across accounts.
  • Help developers navigate HR processes such as leave policies, benefits, and SOPs.

HR Operations & Developer Lifecycle Support

  • Support onboarding, deployment, and probation monitoring of developers.
  • Assist in ensuring documentation completeness and alignment (contracts, NDAs, employment requirements, notices, HR trackers, etc.).

Employee Relations Support

  • Assist in gathering facts for ER cases.
  • Attend or conduct ER discussions with the Senior HR Manager
  • Help monitor action plans such as coaching logs or PIP trackers.

Organisational Support

  • Support account transitions, small ramp-ups, or exits by ensuring documents and processes are followed.
  • Help maintain engagement and belonging among developers working offshore from clients.

Compliance & Risk

  • Ensure consistency with internal policies, HR processes, and client-mandated guidelines.
  • Assist with data privacy compliance on documentation and communication.

People Data & Reporting

  • Prepare HR reports (identifying and raising red flags, check-in summaries, HR trackers).
  • Help interpret simple data trends such as engagement drops or early attrition signals.
  • Consistently aligns with the Senior HR Manager on assigned accounts.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Psychology, Business, or similar field.
  • At least 4-6 years of HR experience (HR Business Partner, HR Generalist /Specialist).
  • Experience in BPO, outsourcing, or offshore staffing is a strong advantage.
  • Comfortable engaging with technical or engineering staff (basic awareness of IT terms is helpful).
  • Exposure to remote or distributed workforce setups preferred.

Preferred

  • Some awareness of engineering/IT roles (e.g. developer, QA, DevOps, engineer, etc.)
  • Familiarity with a staffing/BPO outsourcing business model
  • Basic understanding of offshore/onshore client relationships
