Role Overview:
We are seeking a talented and motivated Data Analyst with a strong background in data visualization and extracting actionable insights from large datasets. The ideal candidate will be highly proficient in Python and core data analysis libraries, with a keen eye for trends, anomalies, and storytelling through data. This is a remote position that offers the opportunity to work with a collaborative team focused on turning complex data into clear, impactful visuals and insights.

They partner with leading restaurant and food retail brands to develop scalable, proprietary solutions that enhance kitchen operations. With a mission centered on sustainability and efficiency, their engineering team, comprising talent from top-tier hardware companies and research labs, focuses on solving real-world challenges in motion, mechanics, and intelligent automation. Among their breakthroughs is a robotic system designed to streamline high-volume kitchen prep work, already deployed at scale across major U.S. food brands.
Job Description:
- Analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and actionable insights.
- Create and maintain compelling visualizations using tools like Matplotlib, Seaborn, Plotly, or Dash.
- Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and develop data-driven solutions.
- Clean, transform, and model data using Python and libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, and Scikit-learn.
- Communicate findings clearly through dashboards, reports, and presentations.
- Collaborate with data engineers and fellow analysts to ensure data quality and consistency.
- Continuously improve the clarity, accessibility, and effectiveness of reporting and visual output.
- Work with large real-world datasets to extract insights and support trend analysis.
- Help define the Product Requirements Document (PRD) for a new large-scale analytics product.
- Collaborate closely with the product owner to shape the product's direction and impact.
First 3 Months:
- Engage in a high-impact data initiative supporting a major U.S. Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) client.
- Analyze real-world client data to generate business and product insights.
- Contribute to the definition of key product metrics and data infrastructure needs.
- Actively support the early-stage development of a new data product through analysis, documentation, and close stakeholder collaboration.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in data analysis or a related role.
- Strong proficiency in Python and libraries including Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib, Seaborn, Plotly, and Scikit-learn.
- Solid understanding of data exploration, statistical methods, and trend identification.
- Experience analyzing large datasets and communicating insights clearly.
- Proficiency in SQL and working with relational databases.
- Familiarity with Jupyter Notebooks and version control (e.g., Git).
- Strong communication and storytelling abilities, both written and verbal.
Optional/Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
- Exposure to cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Knowledge of machine learning basics or model interpretation.
- Experience working with real-world client data and influencing product decisions.
- Self-driven, hands-on mindset—ideal for someone scrappy and eager to make a big impact in a lean, fast-moving environment.
