Job Overview
We are seeking a Mid–Senior AI Engineer to join the product engineering team and lead the development of AI-powered features within the company’s flagship SaaS platform. This is a hands-on, applied research and engineering role focused on natural language processing (NLP), machine learning (ML), and the deployment of large language models (LLMs) into production environments at scale.
The successful candidate will design and build models that enhance document understanding, semantic search, and workflow automation—ensuring all solutions are performant, reliable, and production-ready in a secure cloud environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Research, design, and implement NLP and ML models to enhance document parsing, search, classification, and summarization.
- Integrate large language models (LLMs) into product workflows with a focus on reliability, scalability, and safety guardrails.
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and QA to deliver AI-driven product features.
- Optimize model serving and inference pipelines for low latency and cost efficiency using AWS tools (ECS, Lambda, S3, CloudWatch).
- Build and manage data pipelines for training, evaluation, and monitoring.
- Ensure models meet enterprise-grade scalability, security, and compliance standards.
- Stay current with advancements in LLMs, NLP, and applied ML, and integrate relevant innovations into production.
- Contribute to technical documentation, code reviews, and cross-team knowledge sharing.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as an AI/ML Engineer or in a similar production-focused AI role.
- Strong knowledge of machine learning and NLP frameworks (such as spaCy, Hugging Face Transformers, PyTorch, or TensorFlow).
- Experience deploying and scaling LLM-based applications (fine-tuning, retrieval-augmented generation, evaluation, monitoring).
- Proficiency in Python and experience building APIs or integrating AI models into production software.
- Understanding of distributed systems and cloud environment (AWS preferred: ECS, Lambda, S3, CloudWatch).
- Experience with data pipelines and orchestration for model training and evaluation.
- Ability to balance trade-offs between accuracy, cost, performance, and interpretability in applied AI.
Optional / Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience in legal technology, fintech, or other document-intensive domains.
- Familiarity with vector databases and semantic search (Elasticsearch, OpenSearch, Pinecone, FAISS).
- Knowledge of prompt engineering, fine-tuning, and LLM evaluation techniques.
- Understanding of AI safety, compliance, and explainability practices.
- Exposure to front-end frameworks such as React and TypeScript, with awareness of how AI integrates into user-facing experiences.
What we offer
- Competitive compensation package
- 20 PTOs per year
